Basically Polyurethane foam was not widely known in India, during 70’s & 80’s only few people were manufacturing these foams as a large scale Industry that too as Slab Stock foam which were cut into sheets in various low density used as cushions, seats & backrests for seating in automobile and furniture’s etc.

For insulation purpose EPS or Thermo Cole was widely used during those period. Thanks to RIM process, Rigid Polyurethane foam was made available for insulation with much more efficiency than EPS.

Categorically, P U foam as otherwise called, belongs to Plastic Family which can be used in a versatile applications used in manufacturing various types of needs, such as, Insulation material, seating cushions, components for automobiles, fishing and floating needs, even footwear’s, used as wood imitation substitute.
